You don't have to become anyone different. In fact, it is much more effective if you do just the opposite. You imagine what the most confident you would be like, and then we start on a trajectory.
During our time working together, we will take a look at what you currently think about yourself, what beliefs you have held on to, how you feel and where you can start to believe in yourself.
There are lot's of little steps along the way, but we start off easy, and simple. We celebrate your successes because each step deserves to be acknowledged.
Hiring a coach is hiring someone who knows the tools, and has experience in something that you are struggling with. This is compared to the DIY approach - you can DIY your own home projects, and some are easier than others. Ultimately, and especially if the project is out of your reach in some way, the DIY route takes longer, costs more, and requires a level of commitment that most people just don't have the energy for.
I am a certified Coach specializing in Confidence, who has graduated from McMaster University, Mohawk College, and Nutraphoria in multiple yet connected areas. I have a background in service, particularly in education. I founded my coaching business in early 2022, recently renamed Find Your Cadence Coaching.
Let's find out.
Maybe you are not loving your body lately, and you are feeling less inclined to make an effort to feel "put together" at work. Maybe you have started looking for love, but the thought of rejection is just too much for you to put yourself out there. Maybe you've noticed that your friends are not really adding to your life, may even be toxic, but the thought of making new ones sounds way too hard.
I know because I've been there, and this is just the beginning of what I help my clients with every day.
I used to have friends that made me feel inadequate.
I used to be in a relationship that made me feel small.
I used to hate my body.
Oh, and I used to people-please like crazy.
If even one of these things is true for you, think about how just that one thing is impacting the way you are in so many situations. Do you act "too nice" in order to seek people's approval? Do you struggle sharing your ideas? Do you let people push your boundaries? Do you feel like you're not yourself? Do you hide your body?
The impact of burnout right now is real. I come from the field of education, and I see the impact that blurred professional and personal boundaries and taking work home with you can have. Difficulty navigating interpersonal relationships affects the well-being of people who are really just trying to do their best.
It sounds impossible, but things really can change. Take a second to imagine what it would be like for you if you felt better in just one area. The impact it would have on how you deal with conflict. Or how you dress. Or how you talk to your kids. Or what opportunities you would take. Or the relationships you would build. Really put yourself in that place in your mind.
Now, I imagine, doubts pop up. That's normal, very human. Phew, you're not a robot! You think, "yeah, but I can't really do that," or, "I don't want to change my personality." But if this confident version of you exists deep in your brain, enough for you to just imagine what it would be like, then it isn't someone new. It's you. Which means it's possible.
Sit with possibility.
